Overall: Elphaba is a very striking woman, with looks that stand out. She often gets guys hitting on her because of her beauty and body, but it is those that she will always turn down. She dresses well, her outfits varying from a nice summer dress, to jeans and a shirt, to more 'formal' wear if she's going somewhere nice. She only wears one type of perfume, the scent of it was hard to describe, but it always grabbed peoples attention. She was the type of girl who likes to be anywhere but the center o f attention, but her looks seem to always get her what she doesn't want.

Overall: She is very much a 'tree hugger' in the sense that she is passionate about the environment, ethics, etc. She is quiet, and loves nothing more than sitting by the rockpool after driving to the beach and reading a book for hours, or painting/sketching. She usually always visits a park each day to read a good book. She values a guy for their sensitive, smart qualities... which is very hard to find.

Elphaba is very high spirited and very much 'her own woman', she is known to always express her opinion strongly and boldy when it came to what she believed in and valued. She is very mysterious and secretive, yet makes you feel like you know her, but challenging that every so often when she reveals a little more about herself. She is known to be brave and readily step up to a challenge, though she is also seen as kind and a very loyal friend. As many men do fall for her due to her striking looks, it has now become rather like a game for her, playing with these shallow mens emotions. Fathers Situation: Steven left Elphie and her mother at the tender age of 2 (elphie), he is dead to her.
Siblings: She did have an older brother, but he died when Elphaba was only very young.
Overall: She hasn't had the best upbringing, but her mother taught her to be a strong woman with good morals. Spending most of her childhood looking after herself while her mother worked more than one job taught her to take care of her self, and make her into a bit of a loner, yet she doesn't realise she would give anything to be cared for.

With her father leaving her mother, older brother and herself at 2 years old, their future looked pretty bleak as, at the time, he was their source of income.
Once her mother had realised he wasn't coming back, the commitment getting to much for him as they had married and started a family at a young age (having met at school, Giselle being an exchange student), she then started taking up jobs, starting with just the one, then as the demands of caring for her 'little ones' grew, she took more and more jobs.

When Elphie's brother, Stephan, fell ill, she was left to try and car for him... though, being only 7 years old, it was very hard to care for anyone.
It was only a matter of weeks before Stephan was admitted into the ICU at the public hospital.. dieing 3 days later.

After the death of her eldest child and only son, Giselle went into shock. She lost jobs due to not coming in, she could not care for Elphie, she did little else but sit alone in her room. With her children being her life, she shock of loosing one was too painful for her.

After battling with depression for a year, her mother turned to substance and drug abuse. She could not get the pain of loosing her son to leave her tired body.

At the age of 9, Elphaba was left orphaned... her mother dieing the day of her 9th birthday... after that Elphaba never celebrated a birthday again.

Without any parents to care for her, Elphie was passed from home to home, fostered for a short period before being passed on. Often foster parents didn't know what to do with her... she was not a 'normal child', being withdrawn and almost silent. She spent her days reading, getting lost in the stories and other peoples lives.

Now being 22, Elphaba works as a bar tender at a fairly popular night club in the city. She doesn't really like it as it's noisy and full of people, but it pays well enough to keep her going, and as she never could go to collage, it was the best she could do at the moment.
When she can she does ofter work down at a small book store, which is heaven for her. One day he dream is to open her own.

The crisp wind whipped Elphaba's, long, wavy dark hair around her face. Pulling her coat closer around her body she trudged on down the road. Having just finished her days work at the old book store, she had to make her way back to her apartment. Even though this weather wasn't ideal... she loved it. The wildness of the wind, the dark clouds looking like they were about to burst, flooding the busy city with its droplets, the sun hidden behind these grumbling clouds... It always put her in a good mood.

Reaching her apartment, she began the long climb up the flights of stairs. You'd think, after 5 years of living here, she'd be used to the stairs and fit from the amount of times she went up and down... but each time she dreaded them, each time her legs would ache... she was just glad when she reached the top, constantly reminding herself to get an apartment on the bottom floor... tough she had grown rather attached to her beloved rooms.

Her apartment consisted of; bedroom, kitchen/loungeroom and a small bathroom... it was cosy and safe, away from the troubled streets below. Though some nights the sounds of screaming and yelling still met her ears, and in those events she would just wrap herself up in her blankets and sing quietly to herself.

Tonight however, she had her second job. The one she really hadn't taken to. The night pretty much consisted of her standing behind a counter, serving arrogant pig-headed men and skanky women, getting more drunk, their works more slurred, as the night went on. She hated the constant flow of men cracking onto her, she hated the flashing lights and artificial energy... it was not like the wildness of the weather... it was fake.
